Recreation in and around the park
Children can enjoy a full agenda all year round with a wide range of events and activities in the park. There is a special animator team just for them alongside our own park mascot, Happy Benny. Take a look at the various events designed for children which will be available during your stay.
One of the many popular activities for children is the minidisco. Under the guidance of the animation team, we dance together! The activity is organized regularly throughout the year.

One of the greatest friends of children is undoubtedly Happy Benny. He is our very own cuddly dog and a truly fun animal. Happy Benny is a joyful park mascot, who travels from park to park and can be found at the Happy Benny Kids Club where he is accompanied by an enthusiastic Kids Club animator team. Together they ensure that there is an ample recreation program for children of all ages.

Take the Happy Benny Quest card to the MRT Beach and discover the best spots along the way. There are various quests, large and small! For sunny days we recommend bringing your swimwear! After all, you are going to end up at the MRT Beach.
The perfect game for the entire family, Bowling is dynamic and exciting right up until the last seconds of every round. Do you know how to create the perfect angle and hit all of the pins? The bowling alley has four lanes and is located in one of the park's central buildings, right above the restaurant. After booking and registering at the reception, you can choose bowling shoes in your size.
Swimming and having fun in the water are an integral part of a holiday! With the day beach on MRT Beach and the brand new indoor swimming pool, Parc Maasresidence Thorn offers pure fun for children all year round. You can splash into the water from the large slide. Swim a few more laps, enjoy the bubbles of the whirlpool while the little ones play in the spacious children's pool.
The recreation zone at Area X, located in De Weerd in Roermond, has always been popular with both the young and old. Watersports enthusiasts can show off at the ultramodern wakeboard and water ski slope and afterwards enjoy a cozy wind down by the water.
There are various options for children to try out water activities in the marina of the park. These obviously depend on age and are done with a life jacket with adult supervision. Try out SUP boards together or ride the fairytale water bike. Reservations are possible at the day beach.

The park has 2 large playgrounds both for young and slightly older children. The central playground on the boulevard is close to all facilities and offers children hours of fun! The Children’s Special playground is centrally located between the Kids Special Homes and is only intended for the children who enjoy these luxury villas together with their parents, which are completely tailored for families with young children.
In addition to the private Children’s Special playground, which is only accessible from the fenced-in backyard, these special homes for families have many more extras especially for children. Ideal for young families. There is a nice children's bedroom and a separate play corner in the living room. Everything has been thought of.
The Kids Club animator team organizes various indoor and outdoor activities and workshops for children of all ages. In the Kids Club, young children can draw, paint, do crafts, sing, dance and participate in the Happy Benny coloring contest or reading afternoon.
Discover the surroundings of the park on bike. Various cycling routes take you from Parc Maasresidence Thorn through MRT Beach, to the cozy town of Thorn and even the boundless green of nature. You don’t have your bicycle with you? No problem! You can rent some at the front desk: large or small bicycles, with or without child seats, everything is possible.
