Just across the border in Germany you will find the international fashion city of Düsseldorf. Starting from the park you can arrive there in less than an hour. Aachen

Extra idea: About four weeks before Christmas, the squares and alleys around Aachen Cathedral turn the town hall into a Christmas village. Aachen is only 62 kms from the park.
