Near the park, east of Thorn, there is a serene little town called Wessem. From Parc Maasresidence Thorn you can cycle to the village of Wessem in just a few minutes.
Located on the river Meuse in a beautiful rural area it boasts of a gorgeous old city center. Wessem has small nostalgic streets, a market square with a design of medieval origins, numerous historical buildings and the rebuilt Medieval St. Medardus Church. Moreover, there are nice terraces with a view over the Meuse. The perfect place to relax after a nice walk or bike ride. Wessem also has a large marina with many amenities.
