Today is the day! For more than a year and a half, we have been busy at Parc Maasresidence Thorn with the latest expansion of our beautiful resort. An entirely new neighborhood has been built in the southeast, that will be revealed to our guests for the first time today! We are proud to present Phase 3, a major expansion of our luxury holiday village on the Maasplassen, with two new villa types: the Premium Island and the Wellness.
We are very curious to hear what our first guests think. While we wait for their feedback, let’s take a small, virtual tour of the new neighborhood.
From the mainland, a small land bridge guides you to a peninsula surrounded by the lush waters of the Maasplassen lakes. It is here, on the most stunning spot in Limburg, that you will find the Premium Island villas. These state-of-the-art accommodations are characterized by lots of glass, allowing the comfortable interior to merge seamlessly with the quiet, natural background. The bedroom on the ground floor is the epitome of luxury and comfort, featuring an en-suite bedroom with a panorama sauna and a whirlpool. Furthermore, the ground floor boasts a spacious living room with an open kitchen and glass, floor-to-ceiling sliding panes that lead to a fully furnished terrace. Guests who reside in the top-floor bedrooms are met with soft box spring beds and mesmerizing views of the lakes.
In the waterside gardens, guests can fully relax on sunbeds while taking in the most magnificent sunsets. The Premium Island villa’s allow people to detach themselves from their busy lives for a while and fully immerse themselves in the natural glory of the Maasplassen.
If you cross the land bridge once more and then turn left, you will enter a street with brand-new Wellness villas. They can be recognized by their lush gardens with authentic barrel saunas. Their stylish wooden interiors and glass doors offer the ultimate sauna experience, and once guests have broken a sweat, they can cool off in the luxurious outdoor tub. The garden also features sunbeds and outdoor showers to complete the wellness look and feel.
The Wellness villa also boasts a broad terrace with a BBQ set and a cozy lounge area, perfectly suited for long evenings with friends and family. Inside, a spacious living room with an open kitchen and comfortable, modern bedrooms await. Guests who want a true taste of the laidback, Burgundian life in Limburg, will not be disappointed by booking this villa.
Just behind the Wellness Villa’s, there is a large open space with lots of green and a large playground. The slides, frames and monkey bars are surrounded by the gardens of our new Kids Special Villa’s. I say “new” because we obviously already had Kids Special villas at the park, but during school holidays, they were fully books, and so it was high-time to add a few more of these charming accommodations.
The Kids Special villas feature unique children’s bedrooms and a cozy play corner down in the living room. Naturally, the villa is also fully child-proofed, includes a stair gates and a high chair. However, the greatest advantage of the Kids Special villa is the garden. It is fully enclosed and offers direct access to a central playground, which is hemmed in by all the other Kid’s Special gardens. This way, kids can’t run off or get lost while playing with their holiday friends. For families with young ones, this is ideal. Kids can go off and have the time of their lives while parents a granted a moment of sublime peace and quiet.
We can’t believe that, after so much time and effort, we have finally reached this moment. The moment when our first guests head into their brand-new driveways to experience their first nights in our contemporary villas.
